This morning I decided to get crafty with polymer clay, which reminded me why I never make anything anymore: It takes forever. I wanted to make some pins for a friend of mine. One is a simple Deadpool character face and the other is a slice of narutomaki with a quote from the title character of the anime Naruto.
The narutomaki came out much bigger than I wanted it to, but making words out of clay is difficult at a small scale. It's about an inch and a half across. Deadpool actually turned out better than I was expecting, until I dropped the finished piece into a jar of glaze. I think my friend will probably like them anyway (it's the thought that counts), I'm just a little disappointed in my lack of glazing ability.
At lunch I tried quinoa. In case you didn't know, it looks like little bits of ants and tastes like nothing. I had to drown it in soy sauce and still only ate about half the bowl. It's a good thing someone invented gummy vitamins.
This afternoon, after watching a few episodes of Brooklyn 99 and ignoring my clay-tastrophies, I decided to do a little drawing. I've drawn more cats than anything else in my life (except maybe Pikachu) and since I wasn't in the mood for frustration I went with that.
This little orange cat is enjoying spending time outside, walking along under some bushes.
