I've continued to be in a bit of a funk lately. It seems like whenever I go out and have a good time, I end up exhausted the next day. But if I don't do anything fun, what's the point?
For the past few weeks I have been playing Dungeons & Dragons with some of my brother's friends from high school. I'm not great at it, I mostly just shoot at things with a longbow, but my character has a guinea pig companion named Potato whose hijinks and high dice rolls have made him quite popular with the party.

I've been trying to work on craft projects now and then also. This weekend I tried to make some more pins using shrink plastic, but I don't seem to have much luck with them. This past month I have sewn a couple of baby doll outfits that turned out well. I'm really into llama/alpaca stuff right now, so I used some cute flannel to make a dress and jumper for the Bitty twins. I also made them new shirts using fabric swatches I designed for Spoonflower.
I end most of my days watching Hulu on my Nintendo Switch. Currently I am watching either Veronica Mars or Hunter X Hunter depending on my mood. Of course, I also play games on my Switch. I finally rebuilt the community center on Stardew Valley, got through the demo for Dragon Quest XI, and am trying to finish Disagea 5. I'm not real impressed with the story, especially compared to how much I liked Disgaea 2, but it's still a fun (and ridiculous) tactics game.
When I'm not playing games or making crafts, I've been trying to find good books to read. This is not going so well lately. Some highlights in the parade of garbage I've been picking up at the library: Trouble is a Friend of Mine by Stephanie Tromly, The Vanderbeekers and the Hidden Garden by Karina Yan Glaser, and the Lord of the Rings trilogy by J. R. R. Tolkien, which I finally got around to finishing. Right now I'm reading Spark by Sarah Beth Durst (whose last name means "thirsty" in German, by the way) and it's pretty cute. I mean, who wouldn't want a telepathic bond with a dragon-like best friend?
I think I'll get back to reading now... Have a day!
