I've been doing pretty well this morning. I started with breakfast (I use this term loosely for anything edible consumed before eleven A.M.) and then read a couple chapters of one of the library books I checked out last week. It's called The Tale of Hill Top Farm and it's the first of a mystery series starring a fictionalized Beatrix Potter and her animal friends. It's starting out pretty slow, but it still has plenty of time.
The last book I read, Britt-Marie Was Here, was a little disappointing to me. I had read one of Frederik Backman's other novels, My Grandmother Asked Me To Tell You She's Sorry, and I much preferred it over this one. I think the spunky young main character, Elsa, appealed to me more than fussy, stuck-in-her-ways Britt-Marie, even if she did improve over the course of the story.
After reading I decided to draw. I saw a video yesterday involving a ballerina and I guess ballet was still stuck in my brain because I had soon drawn a dancing guinea pig.
I think now it's time I clean the cages of my real guinea pigs. Then we'll see how much else I can accomplish. Have a day!
