I really hate looking for a new job. Everything I look at seems like a bad fit for me. I am not great with people, so I think basically anything customer service related is out... which is basically everything that is available where I live. I want something that would put my education to use, but not melt my brain like my old job.
In the time I don't spend trolling job boards online, I am also trying out non-traditional methods of making money. Most of these methods have generated literally zero income, but they help pass the time until I can come up with something better.
Probably the coolest thing I've been trying out is designing models for 3D printing at Shapeways. It involves using my computer and my education, so it would be awesome if I could actually make enough money from it to call it a career. You can see my latest creation here: http://www.shapeways.com/model/2807728/guinea-pig-carrier-pendant.html?materialId=83
The main (really lame) way I've been making money (other than finding it on the ground) is through Amazon Mechanical Turk. I only make about a dollar an hour from it, which is why I think it's super lame that it has been my main source of income for the past year.
