Today is Mother's Day (if you didn't already know that based on the title of this blog post) and I still haven't thought of anything to get for my mom. Last year I got her a geranium plant, which had pretty pink flowers on it, and a bar of dark chocolate, which she likes and I don't so I wasn't tempted to eat it. This year I couldn't think of anything cute like that. I thought about getting her a new paper shredder, since hers is LOUD, or organizing the garage, which is probably too much work for one person. Maybe I'll try that one anyway.
This week I did absolutely no modeling or animation work. I don't feel too bad about it though because I got other things done. I clipped my guinea pigs' toenails, painted a desk, planted cucumbers and lettuce, and roasted hot dogs... All just on Monday! The next couple of days were spent mostly reading library books and playing Pokemon. I trained a Primeape and a Mawile.
I guess I didn't accomplish a whole lot until Friday when I drove 200 miles to visit my family. I spent the afternoon hanging out with my mom, who had a day off work for once. On Saturday I went to my cousin's graduation where she received her Master's degree. It almost made me want one, too. Almost. After the ceremony the family got together for lunch at a fancy-ish restaurant and I got to meet my newest cousin, who is six weeks old. He's super cute, just like almost every other baby in the world.
After lunch I spent some time on the Internet looking for a job. That's the kind of thing you do after going to a graduation and hearing about all the interviews your cousin has lined up. Unfortunately I don't really have a clear idea of what I'm looking for, so the effort ended with my continued state of unemployment. Oh well, I'll figure something out eventually. I always do.
