This week started out pretty well. I decorated cupcakes and dyed eggs on Easter, and the last few cupcakes didn't turn out completely ugly. Then on Monday I bought groceries and checked some books out from the library, and on Tuesday I worked on a model of a head I've been playing with for a while. You can see it on the right side of the last picture in the video below:
But, on Wednesday I only worked on my computer for about an hour before deleting the changes I made to my guinea pig model. I was trying to add front legs to it, but it wasn't going the way I wanted at all. I stayed frustrated with it the whole time I was working on it. Some days I just can't get the geometry right in my head, so I can't get it right on the computer either. Since then, I haven't even turned the computer on.
I have, however, finished three of the books I checked out from the library. The first one was pretty good (which I expected, since the other books in the series have been good), but the other two didn't meet expectations. I read mostly children's books lately, since I'm not really into non-fiction or much science-fiction and young adult novels lately seem to be just rewrites of Twilight or the Hunger Games, or both. Every now and then I throw in something meatier (like Moby Dick last year), especially when my kid's section picks aren't working out so well. Maybe I'll do that on my next trip to the library.
I also played Pokemon Y quite a bit in the past couple of days. I guess some people would be embarrassed to admit it, but I love playing Pokemon and have actually caught all of them except a couple of legendary ones you can only get at events. Since I have them all now (almost), I have been focused on creating better battle teams. This week I was working on a Mamoswine, which is a big ice-pig thing that my brother used to use to beat me. So far I like the way it's turning out.
Anyway, that's been my week... hopefully one of these days someone will actually find this website and be interested in what I'm writing. If not, oh well. I'm having fun with it anyway.
