I can barely breathe out of my nose right now. I had to miss work yesterday, too. Luckily I am off today and was off the day before yesterday, because I was also sick then. DayQuil works for about half an hour before I start to feel awful again, so it's not like I can just load up on meds and go to work. Oh, and did I mention that all the roads in town are frozen? People around here drive badly enough under normal circumstances, but yesterday there were over 100 wrecks around town due to the ice. What a way to finish off 2014.
Christmas was pretty good this year. I was sad that I missed the family Christmas party on Christmas Eve, but the next day one of my aunts had a party at her house so I got to see some of my favorite cousins anyway! I didn't get many presents, but I'm an adult so that's kind of okay and expected. I keep telling myself, "at least I got a job for Christmas!"
It would be totally awesome if 2015 was "my year" and everything started working out in my life, but so far I doubt it. I still have no clue what to do for a career. Unloading boxes isn't terrible, so I could probably deal with working at my current job for a while if they decide to hire me on after my seasonal job is over. BUT, it totally isn't a forever career. I don't see myself doing this in 30 years like some of the people I work with. That's cool for some people but I'd like something that won't kill my feet every day. I am still enjoying modeling items for Shapeways as well, but so far I still have not made any money at it. If anybody has any ideas of models I could make that other people might want, please share them!
