I've been ignoring this blog for a long time (since nobody reads it but me) but hey, I'm bored today and ate too many Lifesaver gummies.
Last week I saw an ad on Craigslist for two two-year-old gerbils in a 40 gallon tank and sort of fell in love. I had gerbils as pets when I was little, and my mom had one more recently, and they're a ton of fun to watch running around and getting into mischief (just be sure to invest in a quiet wheel, trust me). The next day I decided if the ad was still up after I got home from work I would contact the seller, and, well, meet my new gerbs:

These bubs evidently didn't have names before beyond "brown one" and "grey one," so following the color theme I decided to name them Nat (natural) and Ash. Their previous owner is heading off to college soon and can't take pets with her, so they get to live out the rest of their lives with me. I just need to find a better place to put the GIANT 40 gallon aquarium so my mom can have her craft table back.
Nice chatting at ya, have a day!
